Thompson Rivers University has delayed the start of its winter semester.
The university announced this morning that school would be starting one week later than normal. This means students and staff can expect to be back in class on Jan. 11.
"The pandemic has brought additional stress, and we hope the extra time will support your success in the upcoming TRU term," wrote the university.
Self-paced courses, as well as programs with structured starts that differ from winter semester start dates, are not affected by this change.
Despite classes not beginning on Jan. 6 like previously planned, the buildings will reopen following winter break on Jan. 4.
