TRU's radio station makes full return to live broadcasting this month

Thompson Rivers University’s campus radio station, CFBX, has made a full return with live broadcasting.

As of Oct. 18th, around 30 volunteers returned to the air with 32 hours of live programming.

With the return of the programming this month, the radio station (92.5 FM) is now seeking volunteers.

According to a news release, TRU students and community members will be considered.

In March 2020, CFBX halted live broadcasting due to the COVID-19 pandemic and provided pre-programmed material for around 11 months.

The radio show was kept alive thanks to a handful of volunteers who worked from home and programming from other Canadian and international sources.

A year later, in February 2021, CFBX returned to live programming during the day with 12 volunteers working in the studio and another 8 working from home.

If you are interested in volunteering, phone 250-377-3988, email [email protected] or drop by the station at House 8 on the TRU campus, just behind the Campus Activity Centre.
