It’s supposed to be a cold and snowy winter in B.C., but you wouldn't know it looking at this week’s forecast.
Kamloops will have highs above freezing for the next week and could even break a record high for this time of year.
Environment Canada is forecasting a high of 16 C on Wednesday and a high of 12 C on Thursday. The record high for November 22nd was set in 1968 with a temperature of 12.8 C, while the average is about 3.4 C.
The rest of the week will see seasonally high temperatures as well, with highs varying between 5 C on Tuesday and 7 C on Friday. Showers are in the forecast on Tuesday and Thursday, but Kamloops won’t see any snow — at least, not this week.
The Weather Network just unveiled its long-term winter forecast, which calls for below average temperatures and more than normal levels of precipitation. On the plus side, the Weather Network is predicting excellent ski conditions for much of the season.
