The Kamloops RCMP are asking the public to help identify an alleged liquor thief

The Kamloops RCMP are looking to identify a theft suspect from an incident that allegedly happened on Dec. 11.

In a news release, the RCMP said they were called to the 2100-block of the Trans Canada Highway East.

According to the news release, the RCMP received a report about a man who allegedly stole a bottle of liquor.

Police said they obtained an image of the suspect during their investigation.

The police said they are releasing that picture in the hopes someone will recognize the suspect and help police further their investigation.

The male suspect is described as a white man in his 60s standing at 5’7 with dark brown hair and scruffy facial hair. Police say he was wearing a grey shirt, black pants and white hat.

The police are asking anyone with information that could help identify the man to contact the Kamloops police detachment at (250) 828-3000 and refer to file 2024-40324.
