The 2022 2A Senior Boys’ Basketball Valley Championships will be hosted by Westsyde Secondary School from Thursday, February 24th to Saturday, February 26th.
After winning the City Championship, the Westsyde Whundas are eagerly anticipating a competitive and exciting tournament with teams from the surrounding areas.
The Westsyde Whundas enter the Championships as the #1 ranked team in the Valley and #7 in the 2A Provincial rankings. The team sits at 20-4 after season and tournament games, with hopes of claiming another championship this year and heading to the Provincial tournament.
Joining the championship team are the Fulton Maroons, South Okanagan Hornets, Seaton Sonics, Kalamalka Lakers, George Elliott Coyotes, Merritt Panthers and the Summerland Rockets who are ranked #2 in the Valley, also known as their biggest competition in the Valley Championships.
The teams that make it to the finals of the Championship Draw and the winner of the Consolation Draw will qualify for the Provincial Championships in Langley and go up against the best teams in BC to win it all.
