The Kamloops Central Business Improvement Association (KCBIA), in partnership with the Kamloops International Buskers Festival and Misfit Night, is introducing the first DTWN Night Market next weekend.
On July 29, from 4 to 9 pm, the community can explore local vendors, enjoy live entertainment, play some games, join the party on one of the patios and shop at downtown businesses along Victoria Street.
“Kamloops summer nights have always had a cool vibe, and downtown Kamloops provides such a great backdrop as we experienced those early Hot Nite in the City events,” says Howie Reimer, the executive director of KCBIA.
“Well, now you’re invited to bring the family and meet your friends for what is sure to be a fun summer evening for the community.”
The vendors include:
The annual Downtown Merchants Market will also take place during the weekend, from July 27 to 30, and participating businesses will have sales in-store and on the sidewalk.
From Wednesday to Saturday, there will be live “Vibe on Victoria” performances from 11 am to 1 pm on the 200, 300 and 400 blocks of Victoria Street.
For the DTWN Night Market, the 300 and 400 blocks of Victoria Street will be closed from 8 am to 10 pm on July 29.
These blocks will be pedestrian-friendly for one day only.
Attendees are encouraged to utilize the city parkades on Seymour Street and Lansdowne Street for free weekend parking.
