Environment Canada says if a thunderstorm forms, it could bring strong wind gusts and heavy rain.
There is also a risk of flash flooding from heavy rain.
“There is a heightened risk of debris flows over areas impacted by burn scars,” EC said.
Kamloops, Ashcroft, Cache Creek and Merritt are included in the watch.
The forecast is calling for a 40% chance of showers and a risk of a severe thunderstorm Friday evening in the Kamloops area.
