It looks like Kamloops is home to its newest celebrity!
A Kamloops resident is living the dream after her magnificent journey with friends was made into a commercial for an iconic Canadian coffee chain.
Danica Wilkinson shared her story with Tim Hortons about how she and her friends decided to bike 8,728 kilometres across Canada. Tim Hortons then chose it as part of their "Tims True Story" initiative.
In the commercial, Wilkinson mentions none of the women were bikers or prepared for the journey, but they kept the motto of "don't look back, never turn around," which kept them going.
"We had so much fun, but it was not easy," says Wilkinson in the commercial. "There wasn't anything that could stop us."
Throughout the ride, the women have numerous stops at Tim Hortons, battled torrential downpours, and even biked through a flooded path. The commercial is a case in point of "if you put your mind to something, you can always achieve it."
"Thanks everyone for the comments on the commercial," wrote Wilkinson in a Facebook post. "It was an amazing experience to be a part of."
