Weapons complaint at Lansdowne Mall goes unfounded

The Kamloops RCMP descended on Lansdowne Mall today after receiving a weapons complaint.

It was reported that there was a vehicle in the parking lot with a firearm inside.

When the first responding officer arrived, they found the found, which had a man and a woman inside it.

More officers arrived and the two suspects were taken into custody without incident.

However, police did not find a firearm inside the vehicle when they searched it.

The investigation is ongoing.
