Mark your calendars, the third annual Good Lemonade Day fundraiser is set to take place on Saturday, June 8.
First organized in 2022, the event has seen 70 lemonade stands and more than $17,000 raised in each installment, with this year's goal being to raise $20,000 with 100 stands.
The fundraiser supports JoeAnna’s House in Kelowna, a home away from home for those travelling to receive care at Kelowna General Hospital.
“Good Lemonade Day was so much fun for the kids – we enjoyed setting it up in the neighbourhood, seeing our neighbours and having fun selling our lemonade,” said Kelowna resident, Erin Strong.
“I think it’s important to share with our kids that there is always something we can do to help others, and participating in Good Lemonade Day and helping families who need to stay at JoeAnna’s House is a fun and wonderful heart-warming way to do it.”
Helping to lead the charge of the initiative are the staff and friends of Prestige Hotels and Resorts.
Registration for the event is now open until May 10, with the early bird deadline set for May 1.
Everyone who signs up will be entered to win a two-night family getaway prize package of their choice to any Prestige Hotels and Resorts property.
All participants who host a lemonade stand will receive a free Good Lemonade Day starter pack that includes two one-of-a-kind t-shirts, lemonade mix, balloons, a sign and the opportunity to create an online fundraising page.
