Mike Hardman, a linemate of Dhaliwal in 2019, expressed shock of his passing on twitter.
RIP Parm Dhaliwal…made me feel so comfortable when my family was so far away. I’ll always remember the memories we made on and off the ice. My heart is torn brother, miss you already ❤️ @BCHLWarriors

Dhaliwal was slated to play in the 2019-20 season for his final year of BCHL hockey, but had several concussion issues in the years prior.
After skating in pre-season, the concussion symptoms increased and he was forced to retire from the game.
While the cause of death was unknown, a source told KelownaNow that Dhaliwal was found by cleaning staff in a Hyatt Grand Central Hotel in New York City over the weekend.
