Cyclists of all skill levels are invited to TRU for the inaugural Stoke the Season bike festival next weekend.
The event’s admission is by donation and a majority of it will be held on the TRU campus green, the space between the Old Main building and the clock tower, on April 27.
Funds raised through donations will go towards the Kamloops Bike Riders Association, Kamloops Cycling Coalition with Transition Kamloops and the Kamloops Performance Cycling Centre.
The event will take place from 3:30 to 9 pm at the TRU campus and includes trail riding lessons, a barbecue, vendors and community showcase, a bike rodeo and mini competitions, and an outdoor showing of a film.
Starting before the main event at TRU is a trail work session at Dufferin Park from 12:30 - 5:30 pm.
The session will teach basic trail maintenance while helping to prep the area for the bike season.
