Multiple Kamloops Tsunami swimmers made their way to the top of the podium at their latest meet.
The team was competing this past weekend in the Salmon Arm Invitational Swim Meet and almost 260 swimmers were in attendance.
There were 25 swimmers from the Tsunami competing, swimming to 64 top-five finishes, sixth place overall as a club and placing third in the region for combined men’s points.
Leading the way was Liam Blackall, who set a meet record in the 50m backstroke and swam to a gold medal in boys Open category one.
Sierra McDonald placed first in the girls Open category two and Caiden Blackall placed first on the boys side of the division.
Swimming to bronze was Carter McKay in the Division one boys and Jack Savage in the boys Open category eight.
Cooper Heide won bronze in the boys Division five category.
A number of swimmers recorded personal best times at the meet including Myles Prochotsky and Jared Roberts.
Even more swam to five personal best times such as Cooper Heide, Trevor Hopp, Michael Karpuk and Kayleigh Roberts.
Setting four best times were Jolene Heide, Victoria Karpuk and Caiden Blackall
Tucker Bruneau and Shaeleigh Reoch set three personal best times
Chiara McDonald, Carter McKay and Mackie Reoch set two personal best times and Liam Blackall, Elsa Kornelson and Matthew Kornelson each set one personal best time.
Next up for the club is the Merritt Invitational Swim Meet, which takes this upcoming weekend.
