The BC Lions were in Edmonton facing the Elks on Sunday and Okanagan fans had plenty to cheer about.
Wearing a BC Lions uniform, Jacob Bond of the Okanagan Sun appeared in his first-ever CFL game in the Leos win over the Elks.
The linebacker attended the BC Lions training camp earlier this year and made an appearance in a preseason match before being released at the end of May.
Bond had been dealing with an ankle injury recently, but returned to the Lions late last week before the team’s match against the Elks.
On Sunday, Bond was added to the active roster as a fullback and appeared in a dozen snaps for the special teams.
The Lions cruised to a 32-14 victory to improve to 3-3 and face Saskatchewan this upcoming Saturday.
The Okanagan Sun open their season against the Rams in Langley on Saturday.
