Penticton running club ramping up for the spring

The sun is shining and the Penticton Pounders running club is out in full force competing and participating in weekly training sessions.

The group recently competed in the Oliver 10km race earlier in the month and took first place in the men’s and women’s divisions.

More than 15 members attended the race that ran along the Okanagan River channel in Oliver.

The group now has their attention turned to a race on their home soil – the Peach City Runners Blossom Eight-Miler Road Race.

The race will occur on May 12 and start at Okanagan Lake Park before going into the hills and looping back to the park.

Registration is open online at this link, where the course map can also be found.

The group also has various weekly running groups found online at this link.
