Grab that puck, because it’s a milestone tally!
A name that is very familiar to Kamloops hockey fans opened the scoring in the Toronto Maple Leafs-Vegas Golden Knights game tonight.
Recently called up from the minors, Fraser Minten scored his first career NHL goal early in Wednesday night’s affair.

The former Blazers captain lit the lamp just under nine minutes into the game, collecting a William Nylander pass in the slot and firing it past Adin Hill for the goal.
For the 20-year-old Minten, a native of Vancouver, the memorable goal comes in just his fifth career NHL game after he skated in four contests for the Leafs during the 2023-24 season.
Minten was recalled on Tuesday after an injury to David Kampf and it’s a great chance for him to earn a more permanent spot with the big club.
Scoring just minutes into his first game of the season is certainly a great way to make a lasting impression!
