UPDATE: Missing woman with ties throughout the Thompson-Okanagan has been found

(UPDATE: May 12 @ 8:30 am) - Police say Amanda King has been found.

She was the subject of a public appeal last week, but had been missing for nearly a month.

The RCMP had said the 40-year-old was last seen in Kelowna, but had ties to Kamloops, Penticton and the Lower Mainland.

No further information was provided on her condition.

Her photo has been removed from this story for privacy reasons.


(Original story: May 6 @ 7:15 pm) - The Penticton RCMP is hoping the public can help track down a missing woman.

According to police, Amanda King was last seen in the Kelowna area on April 10.

“She is known to frequent Kamloops, Penticton and the Lower Mainland, particularly Ridge Meadows,” an RCMP release explained.

Police provided the following description of King:

  • 40 years old
  • 5’9”
  • 166 lbs
  • Brown shoulder-length hair
  • Hazel eyes

The RCMP statement noted that police are “very concerned” for King’s health and well-being.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of King is urged to contact their local police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
