A brand new Vancouver music festival has released its inaugural lineup.
The Killers and Florence + The Machine will headline the first-ever Skookum Festival, which is scheduled for Sept. 7-9 in Vancouver’s Stanley Park.
The lineup is stacked with bands from all over the world, but is chook full of incredible Canadian acts.
That includes Metric, Arkells, Blue Rodeo, Mother Mother, Chromeo, Bahamas, Matt Mays and Current Swell.
On the lineup from outside Canada are big names like The War On Drugs, St. Vincent, Father John Misty, Cold War Kids and Greta Van Fleet.
It’s no surprise the lineup has a similar vibe to the ones seen previously at Squamish Music Festival since Skookum is being put on by the same production company, Brand Live.
The 17-acre Brockton Field venue inside Stanley Park will be home to the festival for year one, with a capacity of 20,000 attendees a day.
