Local musician has $6k of gear stolen

An Okanagan musician had $6,000 worth of musical equipment stolen from his garage this week.

If extra band equipment shows up at a Pawn Shops or is listed online, Tim Reardon is asking the public to call the RCMP.

The guitarist from outside Lumby, had a gig in Kamloops last night with his band The Young'Uns.

"I was getting ready to get my stuff out of the garage to load it into my car," he said. "They must have kicked the door in and closed it and made it look like it was still locked."

He still managed to play the gig with backup equipment but is missing his high-quality gear.

The following pieces of equipment were stolen:

QSC Touchmix 16
Microh LED Lighting System
LINE 6 M9 x 2
Traynor YVC 50 Black Guitar Amp
Korg Chrome Keyboard 73 key
Sure Beta 58
Sennheiser M2
Audio Technica In-Ear Monitors
Wampler Compression pedal
Cry baby wah
Electro Harminox Soul Food Pedal
Digitech Stompbox Modeller
ART tube pre amp
Assorted guitar cables
Shure 212 in earbuds

"This is my livelihood! If anyone sees the following items for sale, please let me know," he said on Facebook.

Reardon teaches guitar four days a week and plays in three bands.

"I've never been robbed before all the years that I've been here. I didn't think anything bad happened here," he said.

If you see any equipment being listed for sale, Reardon says to message him on Facebook and call the police.
