If you’re looking for a great Family Day weekend activity, look no further than the Caravan Farm Theatre.
The farm is hosting its first ever Family Weekend Sleigh Ride Social on Sunday, Feb. 18.
Sleighs will go out at the top of every hour from 11 am until 4 pm.
“Experience the wonderful heavy horses and explore the magical woods and fields of Caravan Farm Theatre’s 80 acres,” explains a release.
“Whatever the weather, we’ll whisk you away on a sleigh if the snow cooperates, or a wagon if spring is knocking too loudly on winter’s door.”
Before and after your sleigh ride, you’ll be able to enjoy some time around the bonfire and enjoy an array of local and homemade foods and drinks.
There will be hot chocolate, of course, and Karma sodas, along with Okanagan Springs beer, Okanagan Spirits pear brandy and spiced whiskey for the adults.
You can cook your own hot dog over the open fire or help yourself to homemade chili and cornbread, and there’s vegetarian options available for both.
“What could be a more perfect winter event than to be carried away on a horse drawn sleigh, enjoying the company of your family and friends and meeting neighbours old and new,” the Caravan Farm Theatre release adds.
“Take a family day ride with us and celebrate the day with us with a warm drink around the fire, or sit down inside to a bowl of chili and cornbread in the cozy cookshack. We look forward to hosting you!”
There are very limited tickets left for the Family Weekend Sleigh Ride Social, which you grab online at a cost of $25 for adults and $15 for kids 15 and under. Kids four and under can participate for free.
