DriveBC warns of limited visibility on highways due to wildfires

According to DriveBC, parts of the highway have limited visibility due to the increasing amounts of wildfire smoke.

Please be advised that visibility is limited as a result of smoke on #BCHwy16 & #BCHwy97 in #CityofPG. Please slow down & increase your following distance amongst other vehicles. The following locations have limited visibility:

• Highway 16: both directions from Bednesti to Prince George
• Highway 16: both directions from Fraser Lake to Bednesti
• Highway 16: both directions from Prince George to Purden
• Highway 20: both directions from Riske Creek to Junction of Highway 97
• Highway 97: both directions from Stoner to Prince George
• Highway 97: both directions from Prince George to Salmon Valley
• Highway 97: both directions from 20 km north of Lac La Hache to Williams Lake
• Likely Road: both directions from 150 Mile House to Junction with Horsefly Road

Only travel is necessary. Stay safe, Prince George.
