If winning a lottery jackpot is a dream come true, losing a million-dollar ticket can only be described as a worst nightmare.
The BCLC is sounding the alarm with only a few weeks to go until a Lotto Max ticket that won $1 million is set to expire.
According to the BCLC, the ticket was purchased in Surrey last spring for the draw on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.
All lottery tickets expire a year after the draw date, which means the person that bought this life-changing ticket has until May 21, 2025, to come forward and claim their $1-million prize.
Anyone who bought a lottery ticket in Surrey around that time is encouraged to check their glove box, wallet, spring jacket pockets or anywhere else that a small piece of paper might be hiding.
That includes Surrey residents, anyone who was visiting the area at the time or even people that were passing through the city, perhaps on their way home from a May long weekend trip.
The BCLC says the ticket won $1 million by matching all seven numbers from that draw: 2, 5, 23, 30, 35, 45, 46.
While that information is public, the specific retail location where the ticket was purchased won’t be revealed until the winner comes forward.
