The North Vancouver RCMP is trying to identify two people who have been harassing a senior couple at their residence while they sleep.
The latest incident happened on Saturday, police say, as the two suspects were caught on a security camera kicking the front door of the home.
According to the RCMP, the two suspects were caught on a security camera kicking the front door and running away at both 12:40 am and 1:30 am.
Cst. Mansoor Sahak says the same residence in the 1500 block of Mahon Avenue of North Vancouver has been the subject of vandalism four times prior to the weekend.
In all four instances, youth are caught on camera kicking or egging the home, as well as one instance where a traffic cone was thrown through the window.
The two seniors living at the home, who have no criminal history, have told police that they’re unsure why they’ve been the target of these acts of vandalism.
“These acts of vandalism are criminal and the persons responsible could be charged with mischief,” Sahak explained. “These seniors are terrified every time they are woken up at night by these disturbing acts and the police would like these suspects to stop.”
Police are urging anyone with information on this case to come forward and call the North Vancouver RCMP at 604-985-1311.
