Crow attack season is upon us, the time of year where the black feathered creatures seem to fly at you out of nowhere.
Spring tends to bring out the aggression in most crows as they’re protecting nearby nests containing little baby crows.
However the unprovoked attacks can be a bit uncalled for, especially when you're just trying to get to work. That’s how the website Crow Trax was born.
Crow Trax was created in 2016 by Langara College instructors Rick Davidson and Jim O’Leary as a way for people to track their interactions with aggressive crows in the Metro Vancouver area.
The user generated map allows for individuals to pinpoint the exact location of the attack and rank the severity from a scale of one to five. Helping anyone who’s out for a stroll on what paths to avoid taking.
As of late the attacks have become more frequent in the downtown area, and many people are reporting instances along the seawall.
Take a look at the website and hear some of the most heinous/ hilarious bird attacks first hand, click here.
