First Nations art collection worth over $60K stolen from BC home

Police in the Greater Victoria area are investigating a significant art heist.

According to Saanich Police, a large collection of First Nations art was stolen from a residence in the Gordon Head neighbourhood on Tuesday, April 2.

The collection is valued at more than $60,000.

There were a total of six pieces stolen, including five from First Nations artist Calvin Moreberg and an Inuit carving estimated to be more than 60 years old.

Anyone with information related to the theft investigation is urged to call Saanich Police at 250-475-4321 or email [email protected].
