The 2024 camping season is still a few months away but Parks Canada is opening up reservations months earlier than previous years.
In late November, it was announced that reservations for this year’s camping season will be opening as early as Jan. 19.
If you are looking to secure a spot at a national park, be sure to mark your calendar.

Here’s a list of national parks in BC and their reservation launch date:
Fort Langley National Historic Site – Friday, Jan. 19
Fort Rodd Hill National Historic Site – unavailable for reservations in 2024
Glacier National Park – Friday, Jan. 19
Gulf Islands National Park Reserve – Friday, Jan. 19
Kootenay National Park – Tuesday, Jan. 23
Mount Revelstoke National Park – Friday, Jan. 19
Pacific Rim National Park Reserve – Friday, Jan. 19
Yoho National Park – Tuesday, Jan. 24
Lake O’Hara overnight camping – Thursday, Jan. 25
Reservations for the Kootenay and Yoho national parks and Lake O’Hara overnight camping launch at 8 am MST on their respective dates. All other reservations launch at 8 am PST.
If you are looking to head out of the province, many of the reservation launch dates are similar for camping spots in the Yukon, Alberta and beyond.
