(Original story: April 9 @ 12 pm) - Mounties in Alberta are searching for a missing family of six and it’s believed they could be in British Columbia.
According to police, the whereabouts of 39-year-old Winnie Mani and her five children has not been confirmed since March, although she last spoke with family over the phone on April 3.
The family was last living in the area of Meridian Beach in Ponoka County, but a vehicle registered to Winnie was found around 200 kilometres south of that just over two weeks ago.
The Calgary Police Service says the black 2013 Dodge Durango was discovered abandoned in a private parking lot in southeast Calgary, near the Bow Habitat Station, on March 24.
The investigation is being led by the Rimbey RCMP, who expressed concern for the family’s well-being and noted that they believe the Manis “may be in southern BC.”
Police provided the following description for the six missing people:
Anyone with information on the Mani family’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Rimbey RCMP at 403-843-2224.
