The Lotto Max ticket was purchased in Surrey, marking the first time someone in BC has won the jackpot since the jackpot cap was increased to $80 million last September.

Previously, the largest prize ever won in BC was $70 million, which was won in September 2021.

Friday’s winning numbers were 6, 10, 16, 17, 30, 38 and 48.

The BC Lottery Corporation stated that the specific location where the ticket was purchased will be announced when the winner comes forward to claim their prize.

All lottery prize winners have 52 weeks from the draw date printed on their ticket to come forward and claim their prize.
