Team Nova Scotia crowned the winner of the 2025 Celebration of Light

After three busy nights in Vancouver’s English Bay, the winner of the 2025 Honda Celebration of Light has been crowned.

Team Nova Scotia has been awarded this year’s People’s Choice award and the Judge’s Competition award.

“Their tightly choreographed performance captivated the audience, standing out even amidst the fierce competition from Team Yukon and Team Quebec,” organizers announced on Tuesday.

This year marked the 33rd edition of the world's longest running offshore fireworks show.

Organizers said this year's event included a special focus on the recent wave of Canadian national pride.

“It’s in that spirit that we are wrapping our 2025 event in the Canadian flag and celebrating everything that is great about this country,” said Michael McKnight, Co-Chair of the Vancouver Fireworks Festival Society.

Team Midnight Sun, representing the Yukon, kicked off the event on Saturday, July 19.

They were followed by Quebec’s Team Royal Pyrotechnie on Wednesday, July 13.

The winners, Team Fireworks FX, closed out the celebration this past Saturday.
