VIDEO: Uki, the last of 17 rescued husky puppies, finds a forever home

The last of the litter of husky puppies rescued just before Christmas has found its forever home.

Named Uki, which means “survivor” in Inuktitut, the puppy was the weakest and smallest of the 17 pups surrendered to the BC SPCA from a property in the Interior.

Uki is expected to make a full recovery and the family adopting the runt of the litter couldn’t be happier.

The BC SPCA received over 1,200 adoption applications for the puppies, who found homes in the Okanagan, Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island, Northern B.C. and Banff, Alberta.

According to the BC SPCA, Uki's family wanted to surprise their eldest son who has been asking for a puppy for years.

The special adoption moment at the SPCA branch in Penticton also was caught on camera and you can watch the heartwarming video below.
