The VanDusen Festival of Lights returns this weekend and it brings a hefty electrical bill with it.
More than a million lights are used to transform the VanDusen Botanical Garden in Vancouver into a magical winter wonderland.
The annual holiday spectacle opens to the public on Saturday and will be open until Jan. 6.
It’s open from 4:30 p.m. until either 9 p.m. or 10 p.m., depending on the day, with the exception of Christmas Day when it’s closed.
Along with the wonderful display of lights, there’s plenty of other entertainment to enjoy at the Festival of Lights.
That includes a carousel with a free ride included in every ticket, photos with Santa, a fireside lounge, musical fun and plenty more.
Until Dec. 20 and after Dec. 27, online tickets are $11 for children 12 and under, $14.25 for seniors and youth and $18.50 for adults.
They cost a little more if you decide to buy at the gate and they also cost more between Dec. 21 and Dec. 26.
Guests are highly encouraged to buy tickets in advance to not only save money, but also ensure a spot and skip the line.
