At this time, crews are operating a single-lane and alternating to traffic.

Drivers are asked to pass with caution and continue to expect major delays.

(UPDATE: Oct. 16 @ 12:52 pm) - Just 30 minutes after an accident was first reported on Hwy 1 west of Sorrento, the road has been closed.

DriveBC made the update indicating that traffic is stopped in both directions at Little River Rd.

(ORIGINAL STORY: Oct. 16 @ 12:30 pm) - DriveBC is reporting a vehicle incident on the Trans-Canada Hwy (Hwy 1) just west of Sorrento.

According to the agency, the accident is affecting traffic in both directions at Little River Rd.
