Hwy 3A partially reopens after rock slide in the South Okanagan

The highway between Keremeos and Kaleden has partially reopened following a rock slide.

On Friday, DriveBC announced that Highway 3A is now operating at single-lane alternating traffic.

The highway closed on Tuesday after a rockslide happened between Green Mountain Road and Twin Lakes Road.

It was expected the highway would be fully closed until the weekend, but it looks like crews were able to remove enough of the rock to allow vehicles through.

Delays can still be expected and people are advised to watch for road crews still working in the area.

Another update is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.
