BC Hydro is no longer reporting an outage between Scotch Creek and Saint Ives.
(Original story: June 25 at 5:15 am): Hwy 97 has been closed five kilometres north of Monte Lake due to a down power line.
DriveBC said no detour is available.
The traffic service said the power line belongs to BC Hydro.

Flagger are en route, DriveBC added.
According to BC Hydro’s website, there are no power outages in the Monte Lake area.
But just under 3,000 customers are without power between Scotch Creek and Saint Ives, north of Salmon Arm.
Crews are on site attempting to fix that outage, according to BC Hydro.
