UPDATE: Hwy 97C near West Kelowna now clear following vehicle collision

(UPDATE: Aug.28 @ 3:45 pm) – The vehicle incident that happened on the on-ramp of Highway 97C is now cleared.

The incident caused traffic to become backed up in the southbound lane.

The condition of those involved is unknown at this time.

(Original Story: Aug.28 @ 1:25 pm) – Travellers looking to head to and from the Okanagan should be aware of a small closure on the Connector.

According to Drive BC, a vehicle incident at the southbound on-ramp at the Hwy 97C junction in West Kelowna has the road partially closed.

Crews are now on scene and an assessment is currently in progress.

The exit ramp is closed and traffic is stopped at the southbound exit from Hwy 97 to Hwy 97C.

At this point, the cause of the incident has not been released. Injuries are also unknown.

An update is scheduled to come out at 3 pm. More to come.
