Construction-related closures are set to resume this week at the R.W. Bruhn Bridge between Sicamous and Salmon Arm.
Construction work was paused over the holidays but day-time closures will start up again on Tuesday.
According to the three-week schedule, there will be full closures of the Trans-Canada Highway (Hwy 1) from 9 am to 3 pm.
There will also be single-lane alternating traffic from 8 pm to 6 am.
The highway will be fully opened from 6-9 am and from 3-8 pm.
With the exception of Jan. 12, there will not be any closures or single-lane alternating traffic on Sundays.
Work, which started in fall 2024, will see 1.9 kilometres of Highway 1 widened to have four lanes.
The bridge will be replaced with a new four-lane structure and intersections between Old Sicamous Road and Silver Sands Road.
A detour is available by taking Highway 97A down towards Enderby and taking the exit onto Highway 97B towards Salmon Arm.
