Police still searching for nurse who went missing in BC Interior 23 years ago

Salmon Arm Mounties have issued an appeal for information about a man who has been missing since 2002.

Raymond Kohout, a nurse and father of three children, has not been seen since April 29 of that year.

He was last spotted about 4:30 pm on the Trans-Canada Highway between Salmon Arm and Canoe, the RCMP said.

He was riding a blue mountain bike.

Police said his bike was found between Salmon Arm and Sicamous on Sept. 11, 2002.

They provided the following description of Kohout:

  • White

  • Born 1960

  • 5 ft 4 in

  • 150 lbs

  • Black hair

  • Brown eyes
