I'm a fly-fishing addict with a passion for the outdoors. Fishing for trout on lakes and rivers has led to discovering so many amazing places in B.C. The beauty of being based in Kamloops is that the possibilities for finding new water to fish are endless and this has constantly fed my need to explore the outdoors in and around Kamloops.
I recently started using Instagram to share the beautiful places I've been able to fish at. Also, being able to follow others that fly fish has shown me all the amazing places they have explored while fishing for trout. This has only made me more eager to get out and explore more of what B.C. has to offer.
People will see photos of me fly-fishing — I love a good ‘Fin and Grin’ shot. I enjoy trying to get photos that focus on the release of a fish which includes beautiful scenery, but mostly I like to try and get a good close up of the fish. Every time I bring a fish in, I am captivated by the patterns and colours. Hopefully, people see how amazing these fish are and start fly-fishing.
My style is mainly any photo that I think will get other people interested in fly-fishing and encourage them to get out and explore what beautiful B.C. has to offer. We are fortunate to live in Kamloops because we are such a short drive to so many cool places.

I follow kamloopsBCNow for their variety. Their feed always has amazing shots of the Kamloops area! Seeing those photos always motivates me to get out and explore.
The locations usually choose me. I usually just go out and soak in my surroundings and if I catch a fish, that's when I have to get a picture!
My biggest Insta moment had to be my first post as it's a photo of my biggest catch yet. It’s a picture of my wife and I on our wedding day, which also happens to be the happiest day of my life. Although it's not a fishing photo, she has become my #1 fishing partner!
