Pacific Coastal Airlines amped up its ambitious expansion out of YLW this week with its launch of non-stop flights between Kelowna and Prince George.
"We're excited to announce another new route out of Kelowna," said Pacific Coastal's director of commercial planning Berkan Kucukkatipoglu.
"The new route is part of our growth strategy out of Kelowna airport and supports our existing flights to Victoria, Nanaimo and Comox."
The first Kelowna-Prince George flight left YLW at 6:20 pm yesterday and landed at YXS an hour and twenty minutes later.
The inaugural Prince George-Kelowna non-stop departed YXS at 7:45 am this morning and arrived in Kelowna at 9:10 am.
The flights will now operate year-round, six days a week, Sundays through Fridays.
Pacific Coastal uses a Beechcraft 1900 turbo-propeller plane on the route.
The 19-seat plane is small, but reliable and efficient, and the right size to fit the demand for seats between Kelowna and Prince George.
To celebrate the new route, Pacific Coastal is offering a 20% discount on flights by using the promotional code KELPG20 for online bookings.
You have to reserve by midnight on Monday, Nov. 4 and travel between Nov. 5 and Oct. 25, 2025.
Fares as low as $124 one-way are available.
Community leaders in both Kelowna and Prince George are touting the non-stop flights as important links for business, leisure and visiting-friends-and-relatives travel.

"This service (Prince George to Kelowna on Pacific Coastal) is a welcome addition to the existing routes at YSX," said Prince George Airport Authority CEO Gordon Duke.
"We are excited to see an increase in diverse and convenient travel options available for our community, region and province."
