There are three new reasons to be excited about the upcoming summer season at Splashdown Vernon.
The popular waterpark has added a trio of new slides over the winter that are just begging for people to try them out.
Dubbed Aqua Rush, the addition is hundreds of feet of long colourful slides, the park explains, with “thrilling banks and high speed turns to give you the ultimate rush.”
The outside slides, red and green, are fully enclosed “black hole slides” that twist and turn down the embankment.
Speed junkies may be more interested in the middle blue slide, however, as it’s an open-flume freefall design that will let you pick up some serious speed as you rip to the bottom.
Kids will need to be at least 42 inches tall (3’6”) to ride the new slides and the max slider weight is 300 lbs.
“Due to manufacturer and safety guidelines, pregnant women and persons with heart conditions and/or head, neck or back troubles, or other serious medical conditions must not use the slides,” adds the Splashdown website.
Opening day for Splashdown Vernon is Saturday, June 24.
