The fourth annual Canadian Wildfire Conference (CWC) will be held in Kelowna at the end of October.
The two-day event will be held at the KF Aerospace Centre for Excellence on Wednesday, Oct. 25, and Thursday, Oct. 26.
According to the CWC website, the event features “sector-leading suppliers displaying and discussing new technologies alongside an educational program designed to unite air and ground personnel.”
It will feature a range of presentations from industry leaders to provide air and ground crews and commanders with critical information on the challenges and trends facing wildfire suppression today.
The conference will begin at Summerhill Pyramid Winery on Wednesday night with a light reception at 5 pm, followed by a keynote speech from well-known Canadian sports broadcaster Michael Landsberg, founder of SickNotWeak.
Attendees will get a question and answer period with Landsberg before an appreciation dinner, which begins at 6:45 pm.
The main event is Thursday at KF Aerospace, as it will be a full day jam packed with networking, panels, a trade show and more.
The cost of attending the Thursday conference is $157.95, while a combo ticket to both the dinner and conference will set you back $314.51.
