Around 8:20 pm, the BC Wildfire Service provided an update that said the fire is now held.

That means it’s “not likely to spread beyond predetermined boundaries under current conditions.”

According to the BCWS, the fire only reached 0.7 hectares in size.

There are currently 381 active wildfires across the province.
