Drone footage shows wildfire damage in Pressy Lake area

The Thompson Nicola Regional District has released drone footage of wildfire damage around Pressy Lake and Little Pressy Lake.

The footage was captured on August 26th and shown earlier this week to residents of the area. Emergency Operations Centre information officer Debbie Sell said 33 residences and 24 outbuildings in the area were destroyed by the Elephant Hill wildfire. Residences included homes and cabins and outbuildings were anything from RVs to garages. An additional four properties and two outbuildings sustained less serious damage.
