Vernon Adams Jr. threw for 388 yards and three touchdowns on Monday night.
If you just looked at that part of the box score, you’d assume the BC Lions’ quarterback had a good game and the Leos moved to 4-0 on the season.
Unfortunately, the veteran signal-caller also threw a whopping six interceptions against the Toronto Argonauts in the week four showdown.
And then there was one.

It helped the Argos secure a 45-24 win at home to wrap up the Canada Day weekend of CFL games and get Toronto to 3-0 on the season, while BC fell to 3-1 with the loss.
Robertson Daniel secured three of those picks for the Argos in what was a career night for the defensive back. He returned his final interception 62 yards for a score with less than a minute to play.
Despite Adams Jr.’s struggles, the Lions got stellar offensive nights from their top three receivers, which included 104 yards on eight catches from Keon Hatcher.
Hatcher secured one of those catches for a score, while Dominique Rhymes had two touchdowns on three catches and 65 yards receiving. Justin McInnis brought in four balls for 85 yards in the loss.
Toronto’s three offensive scores on the night came from running back AJ Ouellette, backup quarterback Cameron Dukes and receiver DaVaris Daniels. Javon Leake brought the BMO Field crowd to their feet with a 91-yard punt return for a score in the first quarter.
Next up for BC is a Sunday night matchup against the Montreal Alouettes this weekend, while the Argos will take the weekend off before facing those same Als on Friday, July 14.
