BC to face Manitoba as day 3 of the Brier gets underway

After starting with a single draw on Friday and two draws on Saturday, the remainder of the round-robin portion of the tournament will consist of three draws held each day.

Draw 4

Sunday morning’s feature match at 8:30 am on TSN pits Team Nova Scotia against Saskatchewan's Team McEwen.

Both rinks won their first games yesterday and have their eyes set on remaining undefeated.

The other Saskatchewan team is facing Prince Edward Island and looking for its first win.

On the other side of the rink, the young group from Ontario will look to keep their momentum rolling as they face Nunavut. Team Quebec is taking Team Yukon to begin their morning slate.

Draw 5

The afternoon draw at 1:30 pm will feature two undefeated teams facing each other as Team Canada takes on Team Northern Ontario.

Brad Gushue’s rink is 2-0 after defeating BC on Sunday while John Epping’s Northern Ontario squad has been on the winning side of two close matches.

BC is up against Team Manitoba-Dunstone, the top-ranked team in the country, and Kevin Koe will attempt to get his first win of the event against Team Manitoba-Carruthers.

The final match in the afternoon draw will feature a pair of 0-1 squads: Team New Brunswick versus Team Nunavut.

Draw 6

To close the evening and this full day of curling, Mike McEwen’s 2024 silver medallist rink is up against Team Ontario.

Nova Scotia is facing Team Yukon while Quebec takes on Prince Edward Island and Team Alberta-Jacobs is facing Nunavut.
