The Kamloops Blazers announced today they have signed 2017 first-round WHL Bantam Draft pick Josh Pillar.
The Warman, Sask. native was in Kamloops this weekend at the Blazers annual prospects camp and will return to the Tournament Capital in August for the Blazers fall training camp.
Pillar was selected by the Blazers with the 14th overall pick in the draft on May 4th.
The 5’11” and 155lb right shot center played this past season with the Sask Valley Vipers and had 18 goals, 36 assists and 54 points in 25 games.
He will play this upcoming season with the Prince Albert Mintos in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League.
