Felix Auger-Aliassime’s magical run at the US Open continued in New York today.
The Canadian entered today’s quarterfinal showdown with Australia’s Alex Di Minaur as an underdog for the third straight match.
After losing the first set 6-4, Auger-Aliassime stormed back to win three straight sets and win the match in just over four hours.

It’s the 25-year-old’s first trip to the US Open semifinals since 2021, which was the only other time he’s advanced to the final four at a Grand Slam event.
Before taking on the eight-seed Di Minaur today, Auger-Aliassime earned impressive wins over another pair of ranked opponents.
He beat No. 3 Alexander Zverev in four sets on Saturday, then rode that momentum into a straight-sets victory over No. 15 Andrey Rublev on Monday.
Auger-Aliassime is the lowest seed left in the men’s single draw at 25 and he could very well be staring down his toughest test on Friday night.
He’ll be up against the winner of this evening’s quarterfinal match between Italians Jannik Sinner and Lorenzo Musetti.
Sinner, of course, is the number one ranked male tennis player in the world and the tournament’s top seed.
The other semifinal matchup is already set, as Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic will go head to head in what should be an exciting match in New York.
The final two players standing after Friday’s semifinals will duke it out for the US Open title at Arthur Ashe Stadium on Sunday.
