While the Young Stars Classic in Penticton is no more, the Vancouver Canucks will still have a presence in the South Okanagan city this year.
The club announced today that it will be holding its annual training camp in Penticton for a second straight season, from Sept. 18-21, 2025.
“We couldn’t be happier with our decision to return to Penticton this fall,” said Jim Rutherford, the Canucks’ president of hockey operations. “The facilities are first rate, the fan support is fantastic and our players, coaches and staff all love what the Okanagan has to offer.”
Training camp will be open to the public and once again include several free activations for fans of all ages around the South Okanagan Events Centre.
Although a full schedule for the camp, including ice times, will be announced at a later date, Canucks fans can count on seeing their favourite players up close and personal in Penticton.
That includes captain Quinn Hughes, star forward Elias Pettersson and the recently re-signed Brock Boeser, Conor Garland and Thatcher Demko, among others.
Mayor Julius Bloomfield said the City of Penticton is “thrilled” to be able to continue this partnership with the Canucks.
“We are a passionate hockey community, and the return of the camp is tremendous news,” he said. “The Canucks and their fans always bring energy and excitement to Penticton, and we can’t wait to welcome friends and visitors alike.”
