The National Hockey League released its 2019-20 schedule today and Vancouver Canucks fans now have a look at what the team’s 50th anniversary season looks like.
It all kicks off in Edmonton on Oct. 2, a week before the Canucks home opener against the Los Angeles Kings on Oct. 9.
As part of the 50th anniversary celebrations, the team will host a number of theme night throughout the year.
That includes four ‘Era Series’ nights, which will celebrate the 1970s on Nov. 5, the 1980s on Dec. 7, the 1990s on Jan. 4 and the 2000s on Mar. 6.
Another notable celebration to circle on your calendar is ‘Sedin Week’, which will take place over three games in February.
That includes their official jersey retirement when Vancouver hosts the Chicago Blackhawks on Feb. 12.
Alexandre Burrows’ induction into the Ring of Honour will happen in the fall, but the team hasn’t selected a specific date yet.
