The Kamloops Blazers completed their perfect WHL preseason Saturday night as the team took down the Kelowna Rockets.
Brodi Stuart got the go-ahead shootout goal as the team won 3-2. This was the third time Kamloops played Kelowna in the preseason, winning their first meeting 5-3 and second meeting 6-1.
Kamloops' other wins included 9-1 and 6-4 victories over victoria, a 7-1 win over Prince George, and a 5-1 win over the Vancouver Giants.
In total, the Blazers outscored their opponents 41 to 13 in just seven games.
Rookie-phenom Logan Stankkoven led the way for the Blazers as the 16-year-old put home eight goals and 15 points in six games played. He was followed closely behind by Zane Franklin and Orrin Centazzo who had 12 and 10 points respectively.
The Blazer goalies also played amazing as Dylan Garand, Rayce Ramsay, and Dylan Ernst made 166 saves combined. Garand led the way with a 2.06 goals-against average while Ramsay put up a .918 save percentage in four games.
Kamloops kicks off the season this Friday with a home game against the Spokane Chiefs, puck drop is 7 pm.
